Delta Exchange is a relatively new entrant in the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange sector. It was established in 2018 and was co-founded by Jitender Tokas and Pankaj Balani, who currently serves as the CEO. The exchange primarily focuses on offering various cryptocurrency derivative products, all priced against USD. These products include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple (XRP), and Stellar Lumens (XLM). Notably, Bitcoin trading can be conducted with leverage of up to 100x, while other cryptocurrencies allow leverage of up to 20x. A key advantage of derivatives trading is the ability to take both long and short positions.
In the realm of cryptocurrency derivatives exchanges, Bitmex holds a dominant position. However, Delta Exchange has its own set of advantages, including offering financial products that are not available on Bitmex. While Bitmex primarily offers Bitcoin and Ethereum trading priced against USD, Delta Exchange provides a wider range of contracts priced against USD. Bitmex, on the other hand, prices most of its contracts against Bitcoin. Delta Exchange also competes with Bitmex in terms of fees, offering rebates of 0.025% for Bitcoin contracts and 0.005% for other contracts to market makers, while market takers are charged 0.075% for Bitcoin contracts and 0.025% for all other contracts.
Delta Exchange maintains a presence on various social media channels, including Telegram, Twitter, and a Medium blog. Their website is well-documented, providing clear information about all offered products and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
However, it's worth noting that Delta Exchange is still in its early stages of operation. It has yet to demonstrate sufficient liquidity to establish itself as a leading exchange and handle market volatility effectively. Building a reputation for trustworthiness typically requires a longer track record of successful operations.
